Rouse Relational Wellness was started to increase access to culturally relevant, values-based sex and relationship therapy. My goal for Rouse is to help clients work through shame and anxiety related to sex and relationships.

I offer services through individual, relationship, and group therapy and provide sex therapy consultations and trainings to clinicians.

My work as a therapist centers on helping you facilitate meaningful changes. I see our time together as a space to reconnect with yourself and the life you want to create.

I believe therapy works best when it can meet you where you are. I take an integrative approach that considers how you think about things, feel about things, and how you make meaning in life. I see myself as a collaborator in developing goals and determining the direction of the therapy. I see you as the expert in your experience and director of the pace with which we take to explore the more tender aspects of your experience.

The work I like to do with clients is grounded in cultural compassion and a value-centered approach to better understanding what challenges or imbalances adversely impact their interpersonal and intra-personal relationships. Together, we will explore how and where challenging thoughts and behaviors are born and why they cause imbalance for you. Oftentimes, these imbalances can require subtle shifts in perspective and response, and sometimes, they require a great deal more.

In my career I have been fortunate to working with individuals, couples, and families from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. I have witnessed the resilience that each person has and how providing support can help people channel their unique strengths, resources, and insights. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment that empowers those I work with to explore their emotions and experiences and to work towards developing greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-confidence.

My therapeutic practice emphasizes support for traditionally disenfranchised communities and recognizes the unique challenges experienced by diverse peoples. I believe that one of the foundational components to all human experience is the societal oppression all around us, and as such, I focus on integrating anti-oppression and social justice concepts into my client relationships so that I may understand my clients' unique challenges and experiences.

My communication style is warm, honest and direct. I encourage and value feedback from my clients. In therapy it’s important that you feel comfortable to speak your mind and are understood when you do.

I specialize in working with people who wish to explore their gender identity and/or sexuality, are questioning their gender, or are transitioning. My practice is identity-affirming, fat-positive, kink-friendly and sex-worker friendly.
