The Work:
I was drawn to become a therapist through my own personal experience with mental health and therapy. Therapy has been profoundly healing for me and I hope to provide the same to my clients. I invite you to reach out to me for a free 20-minute consultation.
We are complex and layered beings and deserve to be seen as such. As a therapist, my aim is to provide a safe space for you to explore and grow without judgment. I use a social justice lens in my practice to take into account how cultural identity and oppression influence our world views, experiences and sense of self. By meeting my clients where they are at, I can better support and empower them to break through barriers that are keeping them from living a fulfilling life as their authentic selves.
My approach is insight oriented, strengths-based, trauma-informed, client-centered and collaborative. I also like to incorporate practical tools to help my clients improve their daily lives.
My communication style is warm, honest and direct. I encourage and value feedback from my clients. In therapy it’s important that you feel comfortable to speak your mind and are understood when you do.
I specialize in working with people who wish to explore their gender identity and/or sexuality, are questioning their gender or are in the process of transitioning. My practice is identity affirming, fat-positive, kink-friendly and sex-worker friendly.
