Rouse Year in Review: 2024

We’re rounding the corner to the end of 2024. There have been countless news stories, developments, tragedies, frustrations, excitements, and a never-ending list of headlines to instigate burnout.

At Rouse, we’re here to support you and your relationships in several ways

But we also love providing information and workshops focused on sex and relationships.

Here’s our list of top visited blogs this year!

Reflection on Top Visited Blogs of 2024

At Rouse Relational Wellness, we are committed to providing mental health, relationship, and sexual wellness services to queer, kinky, poly, and BIPOC communities. We are honored that our top visited blogs this year reflect the importance of these conversations and the need for accessible resources.

Racial Equality and Access

Our blog on "Nurturing Mental Health in Black and Brown Communities" was one of the most visited this year. This reflects the ongoing need for conversations about racial equality and access to mental health care. We are committed to providing resources and support to Black and Brown communities, who have historically faced barriers to mental health care. You can check out our Queer Middle Eastern Resource list, or our general resource list.

Sexual Wellness for Queer Communities

Our blog on "Sexual Wellness and Empowerment: A Guide for LGBTQ+ Individuals" was also a top-visited blog. This indicates that there is a strong need for sexual wellness resources tailored to the unique needs of queer individuals. We are committed to providing comprehensive sexual wellness services that are affirming and inclusive of all sexual identities and orientations.

While “Possibilities in the Air,” written by Colin Fyfe, LMFT, offers wonderful reflections on how to approach pride festivities and queer gatherings. Fyfe ultimately shares, “Pride is fun when the whole community is having fun.”

Communicating Needs Within Relationships

Our blog on "Initiator-Inquirer: Difficult Conversations Without Fighting" was another popular blog this year. This suggests that people are looking for support on how to communicate their needs within relationships in a healthy and productive way. We offer couples counseling, intensives, retreats, and workshops to help couples develop effective communication skills and build stronger relationships.

We are grateful for the opportunity to provide these resources and services to our communities. We are committed to continuing to offer high-quality, accessible care that meets the unique needs of our clients.

Planning for 2025

What does 2025 have in store for all of us? It’ll certainly be a mixed bag with a rise in community gatherings, online support groups, and hyper-local focusing, with significant stressors provided by the incoming administration, genocides, geopolitical events, tornadoes, and tsunamis.

At Rouse, we’re dedicated to providing a safe enough space for our clients to address their anxieties, concerns, and joys, whether it's related to their sex life, relationships, mental health, or response to the happenings in the world.

Keep following us to hear about our big plans for 2025 including:

  • CEU workshops for therapists

  • Mental Health Workbook for Men - online skill group (starting April, 2025)

  • Monthly trainings by sexual wellness experts for our providers

  • Retreats

  • Podcasts and playlists

  • And more!
