Take a moment

I’ve been gearing up for exciting additions to Rouse like awesome clinicians, workshopsgroups, and courses. Not to mention wonderful humans in my support circle that I love spending time with through thick and thin (Hi y’all!). However when we’re go-go-go, it can be easy to lose sight of ourselves.

As I prepare my erotic mindfulness workshop on sex anxiety, Mindf*ck, I am reminded of ways to slow down, observe and not judge.

ight sex therapy offered online

You got a minute to try one right now?

  • Put your feet on the ground

  • Drop your shoulders

  • Close your eyes as much as you’re comfortable

  • Breathe in for four seconds

  • Notice sensations in your head

  • Hold for four seconds

  • Take a long deep breath out for six seconds

  • Continue the breathing pattern

  • Guide your attention from your head and bring it down to your face

  • Continue the breathing pattern

  • At your pace, guide your attention down your body until you reach your toes

How do you feel? No really. Name what you’re feeling.

Super simple, yet we can often forget to check in with ourselves.

Did you know that breathing out longer than you breathe in has a wonderful relaxation effect on your nervous system?
