Genderf*ck your Halloween

skeleton thinking rouse relational wellness

For many, Halloween can be a time to have some fun and gather with friends. But it can also be a time to explore our deepest desires, fantasies, and gender expressions. If you're feeling curious, treat this holiday as an opportunity to respectfully find expressions that work for you. As you try on (literally or metaphorically) new expressions, be genuine with this experiment. Treat it as a mindful moment to sink in and see what this really feels like. What areas of this experience do you want to continue post-halloween?

This Halloween, take the opportunity to respectfully explore your inner desires, fantasies and gender expression. Try to allow yourself to be expressive onward you may not feel comfortable going in front of others. Try to do so without judgement and be genuinely curious about how they feel. Here are some things to keep in mind as you experiment:

Choose Your Halloween Costume Carefully:

Your costume is an important part of your Halloween experience. It can be fun and humorous, but it can also be a way to express your innermost desires. If you're feeling daring, try a costume that might normally be out of character for you. You might be surprised at how good it feels to let your hair down (literally or figuratively). And who knows? You might find an expression that you want to continue post-halloween.

Be Mindful of Your Intentions, Respect Others Gender Expressions:

As you experiment with new expressions, it's important to be respectful both of yourself and of those around you. This is not a time for judgment or mockery. Instead, treat it as a chance to mindfully sink into what feels right for you. Be genuine in your exploration and open to whatever comes up for you. Who knows? This could be the start of something beautiful.

Don't Forget the Spooky Fun!

Last but not least, don't forget that Halloween is supposed to be fun! As you explore your inner desires, make sure to enjoy the process. Light some candles, play spooky music and enjoy the ride.

This Halloween, use the opportunity to explore your innermost desires, fantasies, and gender expression. With respect and mindfulness, try on different costumes and expressions until you find something that feels right for you. And don't forget to have fun!
