Can't we just talk? The power of nonviolent communication

Like most people, you've probably heard of nonviolent communication (or NVC) but don't really know what it is or how it works. In a nutshell, NVC is a way of communicating that's designed to create understanding and connection between people. It does this by helping us to express our feelings and needs clearly and concisely. Plus, it's a great tool for dealing with difficult conversations! Keep reading if you're interested in learning more about NVC or want to start using it yourself! We'll explain the basics of this approach to communication and share some tips for getting started.

We recently came across this video and found it to be a helpful way of describing NVC, and it's uses.

If you want to improve your relationship, we suggest trying nonviolent communication. This approach can help you and your partner take the time to really understand each other and feel heard. You may find that it leads to a more positive and productive relationship. We recommend checking out the book Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg to get started.
